Big Fork Campground

Total Eclipse of the Sun in Tennessee

Big Fork Campground in Allardt TN is the place to be on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, when a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event will occur: the first total solar eclipse to sweep across the entire United States in 99 years!

We are a short drive, 30 minutes to the South Fentress Park which is in the path of the total eclipse. From there you will watch day turn to night as the moon completely blocks the sun from the sky for about 1 1/2 minutes. Or if you don’t want to deal with the crowd, here at the campground we will have a 99.696% eclipse. Make your plans now and join skywatchers from across the globe as they converge to watch this celestial event.

Welcome to Big Fork Campground, a 12-site campground on the park, offering personalized attention to its customers, new state-of-the-art facilities, with 14’x14’ and 12’x12’ bedded stalls. Rent one of two RV’s then go ride, hike or hunt without pulling your own rig.

We abut the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, horse riding capital of the Southeast! Hikers and hunters welcome. We are ten minutes away from the Honey Creek Loop trail that is ranked as one of the top 25 hiking trails in the USA. Escape to the mountains, with over 120,000 acres of natural pristine beauty.
